There are a few dangers that the badger faces.

Dangers from humans

One of the most serious threats that badgers face comes from human beings. Badgers have long been persecuted as a means of controlling them. Historically badgers have been trapped and snared and more recently they are being shot, gassed and poisoned.
Badgers are persecuted by humans due to the supposed risk they pose to cattle from transporting TB, and for damage that they can cause to both crops and recreational facilities like golf courses.
The other main threat from humans that badgers face is cars and trains. Some estimates suggest that as much as 45% of USA badgers die on the roads. Sometimes, badgers tunnels are built under main roads, but they are extremely expensive and rare.

Predation

Due to their size, badgers face very little threat from predation. The only chance of another animal eating a badger, is if it is already dead. A fox may catch a badger if the badger is very ill and weak.
